Terms of Service
Welcome to Pixelopment (the “Service”), operated by Dolstep (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using https://pixel.dolstep.com, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Pixelopment is a free, browser-based pixel-art image-processing tool. All processing runs entirely in your browser; we do not upload, store, or transmit your image files to any server.
2. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a free, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service for processing your own images, for both personal and commercial creative purposes.
Free access to the Service does not transfer any ownership of, or grant any license to, the underlying source code, algorithms, design, or branding of the Service.
3. Restrictions
You agree NOT to do, or permit any third party to do, any of the following:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive non-public components of the Service.
- Copy, extract, scrape, fork, rehost, or replicate the functionality, processing algorithms, user interface, layout, or behavior of the Service in any other product or service, in whole or in part.
- Build a competing or substantially similar product based on the Service.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, branding, attributions, or copyright marks.
- Use automated agents, bots, scrapers, or other means to access the Service in ways that abuse our infrastructure or attempt to bulk-extract its assets.
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercialize the Service or any of its components.
- Use the Service to process content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all source code, design, processing algorithms, user interface, branding, icons, and associated assets (collectively, the “Materials”), is and remains the sole intellectual property of Dolstep and/or its licensors. Free use of the Service does not constitute a license to the Materials beyond the limited usage rights expressly granted in Section 2.
5. Your Content
You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the images and other content you process through the Service. Because all processing happens locally in your browser, we do not collect, store, or transmit your input or output image data.
6. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Dolstep, its operators, or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. The Restrictions, Intellectual Property, Disclaimer, and Limitation of Liability sections survive termination.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
